My students are enchanted.

Coming in a little hot on this book series right now….

A friend with some digestive issues told me she was having such trouble with nausea that the only thing that made her feel any better was chocolate.

I seriously looked at her and offered this diagnosis: “Hmmm…sounds like dementors to me.”

My son made us a pair of wands, and we’ve laughed over the potential for hilarity that making a “dark mark” on his multiple choice tests could bring. I will teach him this year, and I cannot wait to catch his eye when I caution them to make that “dark mark” or throw out an “imperio” curse/spell on some aggravating student. Will the wand he made for me show up in class?

Harry Potter (though a little late) has been fun for us. I’m glad this is a part of our conversation now. We’ve enjoyed the summer, and I’m anxious to see what the year brings!

Still funny to me. In my classroom, but currently wand less.
